The beer garden on the top of the Kyoto Tower Hotel
A summer institution - a mug of beer at a beer garden
In summer, just when you really want that refreshing taste of beer, the beer garden on the 10th floor on the top of the Kyoto Tower Hotel opens. With seating for up to 350 guests and superbly located right in front of Kyoto Station, many people visit this beer garden, right under the lofty Kyoto Tower, which you can see from a whole new angle.
Along with the usual condiments that accompany beer, such as green peas and potatoes, there are more than 30 selections of Western, Japanese, and Chinese dishes and desserts in the smorgasbord menu. The drinks menu has draft beer drawn from the keg, as well as stout, shochu, (a clear liquor distilled from sweet potatoes, buckwheat, and rice), Japanese sake, chuhai, (made with shochu and carbonated water flavored with lemon), wine and soft drinks. This summer, why don't you come and enjoy a mug of great beer while gazing up at the illuminated Kyoto Tower.
