京都・国際音楽学生フェスティバルは、「音楽」を通じた国際交流と、若き音楽家たちの育成を目的に、世界の代表的な音楽学校から選ばれた学生たちを京都に招き開催する夢の音楽フェスティバルです。
1993年より継続的に開催しており、2019年度までに2,625名もの音楽学生がこのフェスティバルに参加しています。

フェスティバルには毎年海外から9か国9校の学生と日本の音楽学生が総勢約100名集まっており、弦楽器、管楽器、歌、ピアノなど様々な演奏を5日間にわたり披露します。コンサートはソロ、アンサンブル、オーケストラで構成されていますが、それらすべての演奏について講師は入らず学生たちのみの力で作り上げます。異なる環境、文化で学んできた学生たちは積極的に意見交換しながら本番を迎え、その熱い演奏は多くのお客様を魅了してきました。 The Kyoto International Music Students Festival is a fantastic music festival in which students, selected from the world's leading music schools, are invited to visit Kyoto for the purpose of promoting international exchange through "Music" and cultivating the young musicians’ skills. It has been held continuously since 1993, and as of 2019, a total of 2,625 music students have participated in the festival.

Every year, approximately 100 students from 9 schools in 9 countries, together with music students from Japan, gather for 5 days to perform a variety of instruments including strings, winds, piano and vocals. The concert consists of solos, ensembles and an orchestra, all performed by the students themselves, without instructors. Students who have studied in different environments and cultures actively exchange opinions during the event, and their passionate performances have attracted a large following.
